Dental Practice Appraisals
The most common "Appraisal"
performed by EMA Dental Practice Sales (formerly Evan Myers and Associates) is not an appraisal at
all but rather a Practice Analysis and Market Evaluation.
After an inventory is recorded, the Practice's Patient
statistics and financial records are reviewed. Then a
price recommendation is made for a listing by Evan Myers and
Associates.
A true Appraisal
is a
more thorough analysis of the practice, including listing and valuing
all of the hard assets. Several possible avenues are
explored to find the appropriate method to find the
value of the entire practice, including the intangibles.
These methods include, but are not necessarily limited
to, the summation of assets, capitalization of earnings,
and comparable sales. The final opinion is presented in
a written report
in three copies.
